PROGRAM SCHEDULE
NOVEMBER
FAMILY FRIDAY NIGHT with The B Street Theatre, November 18, 7 p.m. Free
Join us on some unlikely adventures with Sacramento's acclaimed B Street Theatre. The traveling performances presented by B Street Theatre are an engaging way to introduce children to live theatre. Environmental Escapades is a lively musical exploration of all things environmental - from natural to man-made disasters and our efforts to influence them. Because of the impact Ansel Adams and his photography had on the development of the conservation movement, a family-oriented performance about our environment should help bring home the messages of the Carnegie Arts Center's current exhibition: Ansel Adams CALIFORNIA.
The mission of B Street Theatre is to promote education and literacy, social interaction, and cultural enrichment by engaging children and adults in the highest quality theatre arts and playwriting. Founded in 1986, B Street Theatre School Tour performs 12 times per week, 38 weeks per year in schools, hospitals and public places reaching approximately 200,000 children annually. The performances work well for all age groups, introducing children to live theatre by expressing the art of telling stories on stage. See their website at http://www.bstreettheatre.org/
The event is free and open to the public; recommended for ages 5 and up.
