The World of California Film Locations, Arnold Schmidt.

California offered early filmmakers a wide range of locations - beaches & deserts, mountains & oceans - that provided backgrounds for films set in the Alps, Venice, and the South Seas. These movies featured action stars like Douglas Fairbanks; comedians like Buster Keaton; and actresses like Mary Pickford. Join CSU Stanislaus English Professor Arnold Schmidt and see California in new ways as we explore early film locations.
